(DVI)\, the Business Improvement District\, to bring people to the cultural and historical center of the city and showcase Jacksonville’s deep and energetic pool of creative talent. Open to visual and performing artists\, Art Walk is on the first Wednesday of every month from 5 – 9 p.m.\, rain or shine. More than 65 Art Walk venues stretch across Downtown Jacksonville’s core and include Hemming Park\, galleries\, museums\, cultural and educational venues\, restaurants and bars\, Downtown businesses and more.The First Wednesday Art Walk is a great way to meet fellow artists\, buy and appreciate their work\, and be part of the rapidly growing art scene in Jacksonville. We estimate that\, on average\, 10\,000 art enthusiasts attend each month to see more than 250 artists exhibiting on the Art Walk.

DESCRIPTION:Teens (ages 13 – 18) are invited to have fun with friends and make new ones at our monthly Gaming events. Play “E” and “T”-rated games on our PlayStation 3 and two Nintendo WiiU’s set up on three separate TVs for simultaneous playing. Snacks and board games will be provided as well. Join us at our Library for these special social gatherings designed just for teens! These events are sponsored by the Friends of the Library and our friends at Sony.
