BEACON COLLEGE SUMMER FOR SUCCESS
Beacon College offers a three-week summer educational experience for students entering their senior year of high school. The program is designed to teach the participants useful learning strategies that can be used during their senior year in high school and help them overcome the fear of going to college.
2017 2ND ANNUAL BACKPACKS-4-AUTISM REGISTRATION
This year, Making Strides For Autism, Inc. (MS4A) has teamed up with Northeast Florida Advocates for Autism and Related Disabilities, and the Embrace Community Center to offer the 2nd annual Backpacks-4-Autism. Supplies are available for students with Autism Spectrum Disorders (ASD) residing in and attending K-12 schools in Northeast Florida counties.

WOLFSON CHILDREN’S HOSPITAL’S “CHRISTMAS IN JULY” TOY AND DONATION DRIVE
Main event on July 25; this year there are several ways to participate What: Play is an important part of the healing process for children in the hospital, and Wolfson Children’s Hospital is calling on the community for a sixth year to help make sure there are enough toys and activities for all patients.
WEST SIDE STORY: FSCJ’S HIGH SCHOOL SUMMER MUSICAL THEATRE EXPERIENCE
The Summer Musical Theatre Experience (SMTE) provides the opportunity for local area high school students to work hands-on with some of the highest recognized local theatre professionals at the FSCJ Nathan H. Wilson Center for the Arts. There will be six performances, from July 21-30.
2017 JAGUARS TRAINING CAMP
Fans can attend the Jaguars training camp practices held at the Practice Fields at EverBank Field on July 27, 28, 31, August 1, 2, 3, 14 (vs Bucs), 15 (vs Bucs). Gates open each day 30 minutes prior to practice beginning. Parking is free in Lots M and N.
MAD COWFORD
Learn the basics of improvisation by concentrating on the building blocks of spontaneous comedy. Each session we’ll dig into a different aspect of improv, from learning how to say “yes, and …,” to initiating and committing to scenes, to exploring and heightening ideas, and more! For teens ages 12 – 18.
NIGHT AT THE ZOO: LUAU PARTY
ALOHA! – FIre up your summer with music by Kalani Rose Music, hula dancers, fire twirlers, limbo & hula-hooping contests. West Productions will be jamin’ a family friendly Dance Party. PAINTING OF THE PAWPRINTS
Families are invited to join the JAX Chamber Downtown Council for the annual Painting of the PawPrints event. Starting from the base of the Main Street Bridge to EverBank Field, participants will meet in Lot X or H at 7:15am and break into groups to paint all 330 of the paw prints along Bay Street.
GO-GREEN BACK-TO-SCHOOL HEALTH & WELLNESS EVENT
Details: Environmental awareness education, rock climbing wall, urban gardening, plant & seed sale, backyard chickens, music and arts, bike safety, and much more! Children must be accompanied by a parent or guardian and must preregister to receive a free backpack with school supplies. Free healthy meal, children’s physicals, health and wellness information.
BACK TO SCHOOL BASH AT SALVATION ARMY OF CLAY COUNTY
For the kids: Free backpacks and school supplies, free haircuts, and free vision screening. For the adults: before/after school childcare options, food and nutritional services in the school district, after school sports and recreational activities, and healthcare/dental services…just to name a few. There will be free bounce houses and food for the whole family.
2 DAY ACADEMY FOOD TRUCK TAKEOVER!
