SOLAR OVEN S’MORES
Get ready for the Eclipse Across America on August 21st! Come join us as we explore the science behind eclipses with hands-on projects and activities. We will be making a oven using a cardboard box and foil then using this to show how to melt the chocolate and marshmallow in s’mores.

BACK TO SCHOOL ECLIPSE PARTY AT VELOCITY AIR SPORTS
Velocity Air Sports hosts a Back to School Eclipse Party, Monday August 14th through Monday August 21st. The first 150 people who purchase a ticket each day during these dates will receive a pair of Eclipse Sunglasses.
JU FAMILY FUN DAY
Join JU Football on August 19th for a FREE Family Fun Day beginning at 9am! The free preseason scrimmage will begin at 9am and the FREE youth clinic will take place immediately afterwards! There will also be an autograph session, bounce house, and food trucks! Bring the whole family for a fun morning.
GREEN CHILI FEST
Join us for a day of food and fun. We’ll have the chili roaster going, the grill fired up with our Chili Bacon Havarti burgers, live music and more. Don’t miss the chili hunt – we’ll have 10 green chilies hidden throughout the store specially marked to win. Each winner will get a $10 gift.
FESTIVAL OF THE CHARIOT
The 15th Annual Festival of the Chariot will be held on August 19th from Noon to 10 PM. The Beach procession will take place from 4:00 PM to 6:00 PM which will begin at the end of Beach Boulevard on the Beach to 8th Avenue N and turn around and back to the Seawalk Pavilion.
BACH TO ROCK’S BACH TO SCHOOL BASH!
Join us for a Family Night Out to ring in the new school year! We will have food, live music, raffles, crafts, lesson demos and more! Come take a tour of our school, learn about our new classes offered in the fall, and jam out with some of the best musicians in town!
JUST FOR TEENS GAMING CLUB
Teens (ages 13 – 18) are invited to have fun with friends and make new ones at our monthly Gaming events. Play “E” and “T”-rated games on our PlayStation 3 and two Nintendo WiiU’s set up on three separate TVs for simultaneous playing. Snacks and board games will be provided as well.
TEEN ART AFTERNOON
Teens, come learn the history of an underrated art technique: watercolors. Create your own masterpiece with just watercolors and crayons.
BURGER, BEER, AND BARBEQUE FEST
Join us on Saturday August 19th from 4pm – 8pm while TREEMENDOUS BBQ, Monroe’s Smokehouse Bar-B-Q & Catering, Best Burgers Jax Food Truck, Dagwood’s Food Truck and Cackylacky’s fire up their grills for our Burger, Beer and Barbeque Festival! This free, family-friendly event features local beer from Bold City Brewery and Budweiser.
