Jacksonville Beach Challenge
The Beach Fest 5k/10k and Run/Swim/Run will be held on Saturday, May 20, 2017 at 8:00 am in Jax Beach, on the beach. The event is a fundraiser for the Volunteer Life Saving Corps Competition Team and will be managed by the Corps. 1st Place Sports will be the timing agency. Monies raised are to help fund the Competition Team in their Regional and National competitions, and for equipment and uniforms. Approximately 200 people are anticipated to attend.

Southeast US Boat Show
The 21st Annual Southeast US Boat Show, formally known as the Jacksonville spring boat show, will take place May 19-21 2017 at the Metropolitan Park & Marina. The 3-day event includes live seminars, live music and more. Dancing in the Street
The 31st annual Dancin in the Street (DITS) festival will kick off Saturday, May 20 at 11:00am at the Beaches Town Center, located at the ocean end of Atlantic Boulevard. Events for the one-day festival are scheduled from 11:00am – 9:00pm. This is My Brave
$15 A live presentation of touching essays, original music, and poetry will be performed by a dozen individuals living with―or loving someone with―a mental illness. The power of the human connection through the telling of personal experiences will grab hold of the audience for the show’s ninety minutes and beyond. The performance of This is My Brave is a fundraiser for Where is the Sunshine?, a 501c3 non-profit organization dedicated to mental health.
