Run for Heroes 5K and Fun Run
The 3rd Annual Run for Heroes 5K and Fun Run benefiting UF Health Traumaone will take place on Saturday, Sept. 30 at Unity Plaza, 220 Riverside Ave. The Fun Run will begin at 5:30 PM followed by the 5K Run at 6:00 PM. The Country Boy Olympics at the Jacksonville Equestrian Center
The Country Boy Olympics is an action packed country themed fitness competition. The Jacksonville, Florida competition will take place September 30th at the Jacksonville Equestrian Park. Local country men and women will battle it out in events like mud running, truck pulling, saddle racing, barn building, hay throwing, seed shuttling, barrel loading, and trailer hitch deadlifting. Senior level nutrition students from UNF are providing FREE grocery store tours for the community during the month of October. Tours will focus on fruits and vegetables throughout the store, – how to buy, which are the best choices, and easy ways to incorporate them into your family’s eating.
